It was another busy weekend. It started off with me taking on the task of cleaning out a fence row on our property. Joe was working and I couldn't stand to stay inside on such a beautiful day. This was a good thought in theory, and while I'm proud of myself for accomplishing this task (for the most part), I ended with a nice sunburn and scratches all over my arms as evidence of my work. I was proud I did it though and stuck with it through the end. This is before:
And after (with the exception of some logs Joe had to help me move. Oh and that tree. Joe is going to yank that out with the tractor at a later date.Sunday was an eventful day. Our blocklayer came back out and finished two sides of the house.
While Chris was busy laying block, Joe and Justin took down a "second" fence that was basically just in the way along the fence line I cleaned.
Jude, in the mean time, was engaging in his favoite pastime. Or rather, one of them. Among many things, he loves water bottles. He can find a water bottle anywhere. He loves the crinkle-crackle sound they make and loves to toss them in the air and play keep away with them.
He's too cute for his own good. After that we went over to Justin and Kari's to cookout. The farmer across the road from them owns a herd of goats. A little bit of useless trivia for you: apparently goats are going for very high at the auctions right now...almost more than cows. So if you want to make some money, buy goats. They also apparently make good companions for lonely dogs. This is not scientifically proven, I've just heard that. Anyway, there were a bunch of baby goats in the herd and I really wanted to pet them. When they didn't come running over to the fence like I had hoped they would, Kari she came out shaking a bag of jelly beans (starburst to exact...nothing but the best) and they came running.
